Bart Gellman

Barton Gellman is a critically honored author and journalist, a staff writer at The Atlantic and senior fellow at the Century Foundation in New York. His awards include the Pulitzer Prize, an Emmy for documentary filmmaking, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.


His recent article from The Atlantic have been praised and widely covered as they discuss the turmoil and chaos that could erupt from the 2020 election. 


Beginning in June 2013 he led The Washington Post's coverage of the U.S. National Security Agency, based on top secret documents provided to him by ex-NSA contractor Edward Snowden. He published a book for Penguin Press on the rise of the surveillance-industrial state in May 2020.

He can also be credited for as bringing Netflix and Amazon to the TV screen. He is the former Senior Counsel to the House Telecommunications Committee where he oversaw the FCC and media industry. He is also an Editor-at-Large for Newsweek. 

 
He has been inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame and has won an Emmy Award for contributions to the development of advanced television and advanced advertising

Former chief strategist and the former counselor to President Clinton, Paul Begala is a leader in the political world. 


Begala was a chief strategist for the 1992 Clinton–Gore campaign, which carried 33 states and made Clinton the first Democrat to occupy the White House in twelve years. As counselor to the President in the Clinton White House, he coordinated policy, politics, and communications. He was a close adviser to Clinton and helped define and defend the administration's agenda, serving as a principal public spokesman

He additionally led the victory of: Senator Harris Wofford, Senator Frank Lautenberg,, Governor Bob Casey Sr., Wallace Wilkinson and Zell Miller. 


He has written and co-authored over 5 books and was formerly co-host of Crossfire, CNN's political debate program.

Governor Lamont got involved in public service shortly after college, founding a weekly newspaper in a town hit by the loss of its largest employer. Covering town meetings and the Board of Selectmen, he helped to bring voice and transparency to a community working to recover from job losses and reinvent itself. He later went on to started his own company, taking on the large and established giants of the telecom industry. Under his vision and stewardship, the company grew to serve over 400 of America's largest college campuses and 1 million college students across the nation.

 

In 2006 he would defeat incumbent Joe Lieberman for the Democratic nominee for Senate.In 2018 he was elected governor of Connecticut with his top priorities including: implementing electronic tolls on state highways, taxing online streaming services, restoring the property tax credit, legalizing marijuana for recreational usage, increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour, instituting paid family and medical leave, renegotiating contracts with public-sector unions, and legalizing sports betting.

Schmidt is a two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning correspondent for The New York Times. Over his fifteen years at the Times, he has covered the investigations of the Trump presidency, the Pentagon, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the war in Iraq. Michael has broken several high profile stories. Among them was that former F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, wrote a series of memos on how the president asked for his loyalty and tried to interfere with the F.B.I.'s investigations. Michael was first to reveal the fact that Hillary Clinton exclusively relied on a personal email account when she was Secretary of State.


 

He recently released his book Donald Trump v. The United States  which tells the dramatic, high-stakes story of those who felt compelled to confront and try to contain the most powerful man in the world as he shredded norms and sought to expand his power.

Ambassador joe paolino 

At just 29 years old, Joseph Paolino, Jr., earned the distinction of becoming the youngest mayor of any major city in the country and held the position of Mayor of Providence, Rhode island until 1991. In 1994, he was appointed as the U.S. Ambassador to Malta.


Following his political career, Mr. Paolino is now the managing partner at Paolino Properties, representing the fourth generation to lead his family business, which he has expanded into one of the largest property holding companies in the state of Rhode Island. He continues to stay involved with politics through his role as the Rhode Island representative on the Democratic National Committee.
